Before you tune your Alfa Romeo
Get the basics right first
We start with a health check and service. Ignition coils, plugs, boost hoses and cooling all need to be in good order before we add power.
Newer cars may need extra steps
Later Giulia and Stelvio models have more security on their control units, so some need a bench read. We confirm what is possible on your specific car before quoting.
Know your gearbox
The TCT dual clutch and older manual gearboxes have torque limits. We tune to keep them within a safe margin rather than chasing a peak number.
Fuel, warranty and insurance
We calibrate for 98 RON. Tuning can affect your warranty and should be declared to your insurer, so weigh that up before booking.
Alfa Romeo tuning questions
In many cases, yes, though the 2.9 V6 is already highly developed from the factory. We focus on drivability, gearbox behaviour and exhaust, and we will confirm what software is supported on your car.
The 1750 TBi is one of the better Alfa engines for tuning and responds well to Stage 1 and Stage 2 work. We check the TCT gearbox and cooling first.
Hybrid powertrains have limited tuning options. We can look at suspension, brakes and wheels, and we will tell you honestly whether software work makes sense.
Not if it is done carefully. We tune on our dyno, monitor temperatures and knock, and keep the engine and gearbox within sensible limits.
