Fiat tuning in Tullamarine, Melbourne
Small Fiat turbo engines respond well to careful calibration, and a Ducato diesel can feel like a different van with the right software. We tune Fiats in-house on our Tullamarine dyno, starting with a health check and building in stages so the car stays easy to live with.

Performance upgrades for your Fiat
Practical tuning for Fiat's MultiAir petrols, TwinAir and Multijet diesels, matched to how you actually use the car.
ECU remapping for MultiAir and TwinAir
We recalibrate boost, fuelling and ignition on the turbocharged 1.4 MultiAir and 0.9 TwinAir engines for stronger midrange and cleaner throttle response, logged and checked on the dyno.
Multijet diesel tuning for Ducato
For Ducato vans and motorhome conversions we focus on low-down torque and drivability under load, keeping exhaust temperatures and the factory emissions hardware in check.
Transmission behaviour
Where software support exists for your gearbox, we can sharpen shift response and smooth out low-speed behaviour, including on automated manuals that can feel hesitant in traffic.
Exhaust upgrades
Cat-back systems for the 500X and 124 Spider add character without drone, and we keep noise within what's reasonable for a roadworthy road car.
Intake and intercooling
Higher-flow filters and intercooler upgrades help small turbo engines hold consistent temperatures on hot Melbourne days and longer drives.
Suspension and brakes
Lowering springs, quality dampers and brake pad upgrades suit the 124 Spider and 500 in particular, where handling is a big part of the appeal.
Build your Fiat in stages
Start where it makes sense for your car and budget, then build from there. Every stage is calibrated in-house.
Software only on a standard car. On a MultiAir or TwinAir that means a fuller midrange and better throttle response, and on a Ducato more usable torque when loaded up.
Software calibrated around supporting hardware such as an intercooler, intake and exhaust. Best suited to the 124 Spider and 500X where owners want a more responsive, consistent car.
Turbo and fuelling upgrades on the petrol engines. This is a niche path on Fiat and we'll talk you through whether the parts, clutch and budget make sense for your car first.

Proven software and parts
Fiat ECUs are well supported by Magicmotorsport, the Italian-made programming tools we use for reading and writing ECU and TCU files over OBD, on the bench or in boot mode. We always back up your original file before any changes.
Before you tune your Fiat
Start with a health check
We check boost, fault codes, spark plugs and coils before tuning. A misfire or boost leak on a small turbo engine will only get worse with more power.
Look after the MultiAir unit
The MultiAir valve actuator relies on clean oil of the correct specification. If servicing has lapsed, we'll recommend sorting that before adding load.
Use 98 RON on petrol cars
Our petrol calibrations assume premium 98 RON fuel. Running lower octane after a tune reduces safety margin and performance.
Ducato load and emissions
A tune doesn't change your van's GVM or towing limits, and we keep the DPF and EGR systems in place so the vehicle stays compliant and roadworthy.
Fiat tuning questions
Yes, the 1.4 MultiAir Turbo responds well to calibration. Most owners notice a stronger midrange and sharper throttle. The exact gain depends on the car, its condition and fuel.
We can. Ducato tuning is all about drivability when loaded, especially on hills and highways. We calibrate on the dyno and keep the factory emissions equipment in place.
It can. Manufacturers may decline engine or driveline claims on modified cars, so if your Fiat is still under warranty we'll talk through the risk before starting.
In most cases, yes. We save your original ECU file before writing anything, so the factory calibration can be restored if you sell the car or change your mind.
