Infiniti tuning in Tullamarine, Melbourne
Infiniti left the Australian market in 2020, but plenty of owners are still enjoying their cars and want more from them. The Q50 and Q60 Red Sport 400 with the VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6 are the standouts, and we tune them carefully on our Tullamarine dyno.

Performance upgrades for your Infiniti
Tuning for existing Infiniti owners, focused on the VR30 twin-turbo cars and realistic upgrades for the rest of the range.
VR30DDTT ECU calibration
The 3.0 twin-turbo V6 in the Red Sport 400 has real headroom. We calibrate boost, timing and fuelling on the dyno, with intake temperature and knock carefully monitored.
Charge cooling upgrades
The VR30 uses water-to-air intercooling, which heat-soaks on hot days. Upgraded heat exchangers and pumps help it hold performance run after run.
Transmission calibration
Where supported, adjusting the 7-speed automatic's shift points and torque handling makes a tuned Q50 or Q60 feel more responsive and settled.
2.0t tuning for Q50, Q60 and QX30
Some Infiniti 2.0 turbo models share Mercedes-Benz engines and electronics. We'll confirm software support on your car before recommending a path.
Exhaust and intake
On the naturally aspirated VQ37 cars, software gains are modest, so a well-made exhaust and intake are often the better spend for sound and response.
Suspension and brakes
Quality dampers, springs and brake upgrades sharpen the Q50 and G37 and suit owners who drive them hard.
Build your Infiniti in stages
Start where it makes sense for your car and budget, then build from there. Every stage is calibrated in-house.
Software only on a standard Red Sport 400. A noticeable lift in midrange and response, calibrated for 98 RON and Melbourne summer temperatures.
Calibration built around heat exchanger, intake and exhaust upgrades. This is where the VR30 becomes more consistent under repeated hard driving.
Upgraded turbos and fuel system work on the VR30. A serious build that needs a healthy engine and gearbox, which we'll assess honestly first.

Proven software and parts
We read and write Infiniti ECU files with Magicmotorsport tools where your model is supported, and we always keep a backup of the original. For naturally aspirated and hybrid models, we'll be upfront that hardware and chassis work usually gives better value than software.
Before you tune your Infiniti
Health check the VR30
We check boost control, fault history, spark plugs, coils and the intercooler circuit before tuning. Any existing issue is cheaper to fix before adding power.
Plan for heat
Heat soak is the VR30's main limit in Australian conditions. Cooling upgrades often matter more than chasing extra boost.
Parts and support
With Infiniti gone from Australia, some parts take longer to source. We factor that into recommendations so your car isn't left off the road.
Be realistic with hybrids and NA cars
The Q50 Hybrid and VQ37 models don't respond to software the way turbo cars do. We'll tell you straight if a tune isn't worth it.
Infiniti tuning questions
Yes. Infiniti stopped selling new cars in Australia in 2020, but we service and tune existing Infinitis at our Tullamarine workshop.
It's one of the better tuning platforms in the range. The VR30DDTT responds well to software, especially with cooling upgrades. Gains depend on the car and its condition.
Options are very limited on the hybrid system. We can help with exhaust, suspension and brakes, and we'll confirm whether any software support exists for your car.
We calibrate within sensible torque limits for the 7-speed automatic and check its condition first. Reliability always comes before peak numbers.
