Lexus tuning in Tullamarine, Melbourne
Lexus builds smooth, durable engines, but many are naturally aspirated or hybrid, and Toyota-family ECUs aren't always open to tuning. We'll tell you straight what's realistic for your car, then improve it with the right mix of hardware, chassis work and software where it's supported.

Performance upgrades for your Lexus
Realistic upgrades for Lexus, focused on response, sound and handling rather than big promises.
Software where supported
Turbo models such as the 2.0 turbo IS 300 and NX, and the newer twin-turbo V6 in the LX 600 and GX 550, are the main candidates. Support depends on the ECU and model year, so we confirm first.
V8 exhaust upgrades
The 5.0 V8 in the RC F, GS F, IS F and LC 500 sounds great already. A quality cat-back system brings more of it out, kept sensible for roadworthiness.
Intake and throttle response
On naturally aspirated V6 and V8 models, intake upgrades and throttle mapping can make the car feel more alert, even where peak gains are small.
Diesel LX tuning
For the LX 500d twin-turbo diesel, we focus on towing drivability where software support exists, with emissions systems left in place.
Suspension and handling
Lowering springs, adjustable dampers and alignment changes suit the IS and RC F in particular, where the chassis rewards careful setup.
Brake upgrades
Pads, fluid and larger brake packages give a performance Lexus more confidence on track days and long mountain drives.
Build your Lexus in stages
Start where it makes sense for your car and budget, then build from there. Every stage is calibrated in-house.
On turbo models, software on a standard car where supported. On naturally aspirated cars, Stage 1 usually means intake, exhaust and chassis improvements instead.
Turbo models with supporting intercooler, intake and exhaust upgrades and matched calibration. For the V8 cars, a full exhaust with headers where compliant.
Forced induction or major engine work. On most Lexus models this is rarely sensible for a road car, and we'll be honest about whether it suits yours.

Proven software and parts
We use Magicmotorsport tools to read and write Lexus ECU files where your model is supported, and we always back up the original. Many Lexus ECUs are locked or have limited support, so we'll check your car before quoting software.
Before you tune your Lexus
Confirm software support
Toyota and Lexus ECUs are among the harder ones to access, especially on newer models. We check your car before promising anything.
Hybrids are a special case
Hybrid systems manage power between engine, motors and battery. We don't tune hybrid drive software, but we can improve brakes, tyres and handling.
Keep it compliant
Exhaust upgrades need to stay within noise limits and keep catalytic converters in place. We'll steer you toward options that pass a roadworthy.
Warranty and service history
Lexus warranties and service plans are valued by owners. We'll explain how any modification could affect your cover before you go ahead.
Lexus tuning questions
Software gains on the naturally aspirated 3.5 V6 are small. An exhaust, intake and chassis upgrades usually give better value, and we'll tell you honestly what to expect.
The RC F's 5.0 V8 is naturally aspirated, so it's more about sound, response and handling than big power gains. A good exhaust and suspension setup transform how it feels.
The 3.4 twin-turbo V6 has more potential than the naturally aspirated models. Support depends on ECU and model year, so we confirm before booking.
We don't modify hybrid drive software. We can still improve a hybrid Lexus with brakes, tyres, wheels and suspension.
