Before you tune your Skoda
Service history and health check
We check plugs, coils, the water pump and any oil leaks, scan for faults and log the car before tuning.
Know your gearbox
Smaller Skodas often use the dry clutch DQ200 DSG, which has a lower torque limit than the DQ250 and DQ381 in RS models. We tune to suit.
98 RON fuel
Tuned EA888 engines should run on 98 RON premium unleaded. Lower octane reduces both performance and margin.
Warranty
Tuning may affect warranty claims on related components. If your Skoda is still under factory warranty, talk to us first.
Skoda tuning questions
Yes. The EA888 engine and DSG are well understood and well supported by RacingLine, so the Octavia RS responds very well to a carefully calibrated tune.
Yes. RacingLine offers Stage 1+ software designed for GPF-equipped cars, so newer Octavia RS models can be tuned without removing the filter.
A good calibration can improve midrange torque and response, which helps with towing. Results depend on the car, and we keep reliability as the priority.
Yes. We back up the original ECU and DSG files before any changes so the car can be returned to factory software.
