Before you tune your Volkswagen
Service and health check
We check plugs, coils, the water pump and PCV system, scan for faults and log the car before tuning. A healthy EA888 makes a much better tuned EA888.
Match the tune to your DSG
Smaller VWs use the dry clutch DQ200, which has a much lower torque limit than the DQ250 and DQ381 in GTI and R models. We tune within those limits.
98 RON fuel
Run 98 RON premium unleaded on a tuned EA888 for the best performance and knock margin.
Warranty
Tuning may affect warranty claims on related components. If your VW is still under factory warranty, talk to us before booking.
Volkswagen tuning questions
Yes, in most cases. Factory DSG torque limits can restrict the engine tune, and gearbox software also improves shift speed, launch and low speed engagement.
Yes. RacingLine Stage 1+ software is designed for GPF-equipped cars, so newer Golfs can be tuned with the filter in place.
The earlier Volkswagen-built Amarok diesels can be tuned where supported. The newer Amarok shares its platform with the Ford Ranger, so tell us your model year and we will confirm.
